I have always loved taking pictures of my family, even from a young age. When I had to buy an SLR camera for my studies, I started taking photography more seriously. Slowly, I began photographing more people within my network and discovered how much I truly enjoyed it. I soon realized that I not only loved photography, but that I could use it to capture beautiful and meaningful moments.

Over time, I discovered that I wanted my photography to be about more than just taking beautiful pictures. I want to tell stories and create space for both vulnerable and joyful moments.

 

Culture is a big source of inspiration for me. I have always been interested in different cultures, traditions and the stories people carry with them. Coming from a diverse background myself, surrounded by different cultures, has shaped the way I see people and the stories I want to capture. It is one of the reasons I love photographing people from different backgrounds and creating images that feel personal and authentic.

With my photography, I hope to create a space where people feel safe, comfortable and familiar enough to share their story with me. A space where everyone feels that their story belongs, so that together we can capture it in a way that feels true to who they are.
